Giving Back

A few weeks ago my Newly Married Sunday School class served at the Pool of Siloam medical ministry. It is a wonderful mission who provides free medical care, pharmaceuticals, durable medical equipment, dental care and much more. There is a clothes closet, meals program, etc. Here are a few pics from our time there. We didn’t serve in the clinic, we just helped the staff put together mailers to get the word out. Check out their website and see if you’d be interested in helping, you don’t have to be medically inclined to make a difference.

It is such an amazing feeling when we help out others less furtuante. My family, every Christmas, tries to go to Friendship Mission and help serve the homeless for the day. We have so much fun and we really are able-in just a few hours- to touch other people's lives. Friendship Mission is operated by a pastor and his wife. It is place where the homeless can find food, clothes, and a worship service. The pastor also helps some of the men and women that come through there, get a job or back on their feet. This couple is awesome and such an inspiration for others to do more.
Hope you are having a great day!
